June 29th - Outdoor Film Screening
(Members and Guests only)
The Fine Film Society hosted an exclusive summer time outdoor event for members and guests. We screened several short films, and allowed the audience to give their opinions on what the next short films should be shown at FilmbianceTM.
May 4th - The Fine Film Society's Opening Gala!!!
Our 1st event included the showing of Heinz Weingartner's “The Edukators”, which has won several awards and nominations since its introduction in late 2004. As an added bonus, the local reggae band “Little Big Man” performed a live acoustic set during the post movie celebration, and artists residing in the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center opened their homes and displayed their latest works of art.
Special thanks to the Elliot Bay and Georgetown Breweries for their generous donations, the Northwest Brew Crew for volunteering their beverage pouring expertise, and to the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center for hosting us.
